In the Arts and Crafts class the Year 4 and Year 5 studens have made some Christmas Crackers to share with their families.
Christmas crackers
are part of Christmas celebrations primarily in the United Kingdom,
Ireland and Commonwealth countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zeland
and South Africa. A cracker consists of a cardboard tube wrapped in a
brightly decorated twist of paper, making it resemble an oversized sweet-wrapper.
Crackers
are typically pulled at the Christmas dinner table or at parties. The
person with the larger portion of cracker empties the contents from the
tube and keeps them. Typically these contents are a coloured paper
crown, a riddle or a joke and a toy. However, we have put little
chocolates instead of a toy.
